As I reflect on the past year I rejoice with the spirit that has taken over the land. look
forward with great optimism and expectation for 2007 while looking back with a heart of Thanksgiving for the year 2006. In what is going on in our ministry I am reminded of the story of Nehemiah. He was in the land of Persia, which is modern day, Iran. Exiled from his beloved Israel, he listened to the cries for help with tears of the devastation in Jerusalem.
After Nehemiah fasted, prayed, he then asked King Artaxerxes if he could return to Jerusalem to rebuild the city. Upon his return and reviewing the walls he spoke to the people:
“Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.” And I told them of the hand of my God which had been upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work………..The God of Heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build. Nehemiah 2:17-20.
Friends, let us set our hands to His work, let us rise up and build. God shall prosper us and keep us in His perfect peace. We must rise from the fear and mediocrity of life and start the work the Father has given us. It is the right thing to do. It will bring Him glory. It is for the good of His people. It will make an impact on this earth. We can no longer wait until things are perfect in our lives to look around and help others, we must act now.
Our assigned work will take effort, diligence, patience, commitment and prayer. We must not only start the work but we must finish the work. This means we cannot be mover or deterred the thoughts or ill wishes of others, conditions in this world or the inner struggle WE MUST MOVE FORWARD. Friends, we have to know and trust that God will see us through. He has told us to seek the Kingdom first and all things will be added. He told us that he would keep us in perfect peace if our minds were stayed on HIM. He told us that goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives. God has given the vision, please know that He will give us the tools to complete the task, we just have to believe.
Now, the wall was built in 52 days; you could say it was a miracle. A way was made because a group of people came together and worked to achieve a greater work, as a matter of fact they prayed as they worked. We are currently living in our vision,we have made great strides to bring the vision into reality and we need help in completing the assigned work. We are asking you to Partner with us in financial support and Prayer to realize this miracle.
We have purchased two homes and another home has been donated to the ministry and we are in the beginning stages of renovation, we wish to bring the “Dry Bones” back to life and we need your help. We believe that these homes can be brought back to life and become lightning rods within the community for revitalization. Just as the Lord asked His prophet could these bones live, the prophet replied, Lord, only you know and with the rush of a powerful wind, sinew by sinew was connected and an Army of untold was resurrected through out the valley.
We believe in the vision that has been placed upon our hearts to start this process. We believe that the vision will be completed, because if the Lord calls you to it, the Lord shall bring you through it. Can the breach be repaired, resoundingly, YES, God has made us and He dwells within us. Any individual with God is more than a majority and we claim His victory right now.
We need your help in going for our miracle right now as we arise to build our Family Life Center, Learning Center (we have been greatly impacted by the generous nature of Anhauser Busch, Arkla Tex Medical Center and a host of generous individuals who have given enough computer systems, copiers, printers and gaming tables to complete our facility) and to complete the housing project for needy families.
You can visit our website for details and updates on the projects.
I pray that every seed of prayer and finance sown will be shaken, patted down and poured out and multiplied back to you. Together, let us rise and build.
